The Top 3 2016 Supercars to look out for...

At Veluxity, we love our “top” ranking lists. After much discussion, we decided to share our top 3 supercars and soon-to-be exotic car rentals to keep an eye out for from Miami to NY and NY to LA this coming 2016.

1.) 2016 Ferrari 488 GTB

The first choice was certainly the most effortless, the all new 2016 Ferrari 488 GTB is set to be released this coming year packing a 3.9L Twin Turbo V8 Engine making 661hp at 8000 RPM’s. Just when we thought Ferrari has reached it’s pinnacle of performance with the 458, they decide to slap on turbo spool and a 0-60 time of 3.0 seconds flat. An updated version of Ferrari’s stability control will provide the 488 with sharper handling and insane cornering abilities.

In 2016, the Ferrari 488 became one of our most popular rental cars and for good reason. Boasting such incredible power along with unmatched comfort and agility, the 488 is for all intensive purposes the most versatile supercar ever created by Ferrari. It combines cutting edge technology, the famous Ferrari v8 and then packs on two! turbos. The car is a true treat to drive and truly a headturner. You can't go wrong with it as a rental and it's testament when you see just how many rentals it has done since its addition to our fleet in 2016.

So…I bet you wonder how it drives?

Fortunately we can tell you from first-hand experience, the 488 delivers on all cylinders. While one would expect turbo’s to warrant a faulty power band where overall torque and power is nonexistent till around 4000 RPM’s, we can confidently say the 488 is an exception.

In fact:

The only evidence that the 488 was of turbo origin was uncovered by the faint sound of the waste gate opening and closing.

That’s why…

We had to give the 488 GTB our number one spot. We look forward to adding it to our exotic car rental fleet in a due time as well.

2.) 2016 Lamborghini Huracán Spyder

If described in one word: INSANE

The Lamborghini Huracán takes everything you thought you knew about a supercar and tosses it out the window. We love our Lamborghini Huracán so much at Veluxity we thought it only fair we give number two to the topless version. The Huracán is testament to Lamborghini’s undeniable reputation for outstanding aesthetics and outrageous power, boasting a 5.2L V10 Engine that makes 601hp and will take you to 60 in… (way less than it says, trust us!) our employees at Veluxity will all vouch that the Huracán is the fastest car we offer for exotic car rental in the Miami Area.

The Lamborghini Huracan is of sorts, our "go-to" exotic car rental option. We offer this vehicle in four seperate states including the New York, Florida, Illinois and Nevada. In summary, the Huracán Spyder offers all the features of the hardtop but you can take the top off and enjoy the warm weather (at least if you live in South Florida like us).

3.) 2016 Acura NSX

Yes! It’s finally back, and we’re excited!

The all new Acura NSX offers a 3.6L Twin-Turbo Engine with 573hp, nine-speed dual clutch automatic transmission and all wheel drive. What makes this car amongst one of our favorites at number three is the fact that it will hit 60 in 2.9 seconds and is priced competitively at $150,000.

We haven't added the NSX to the lineup due to it's insane straightline depreciation. The NSX was looking like a great buy based on it's hype it received but Veluxity lucked out because we chose not to purchase it right away. Some early buyers of these cars will find there worth nearly $60,000 less than the sticker price they originally paid. We will continue to consider it for rental, but won't pull the trigger just yet!

It’s finally back:

After nearly 20 years out of the spotlight, we’re extremely happy to see the NSX back in the supercar lineup. Offering a wide stance and semi-aggressive modern styling, this is surely a car to keep your eye on.

As time progresses, these "top" ranking lists become more and more difficult. Remember when 0 to 60 in 4.0 seconds was fast? We're excited to see what 2016 has to offer to the supercar world and Veluxity's exotic car rental fleet!
